Sie ermöglicht einen unvergleichlichen Blick über den „Wasgau“. Der Wasgau wird als Teil des Pfälzerwalds und der Nordvogesen in erster Linie durch Gesteinsschichten des Buntsandsteins geprägt; damit begründet sich auch das enorme Vorkommen an Natursandsteinfelsen und Burgenstandorten.
